P.S. The answer is j00f of course.

Clubs play EDM, bars play everything else.

good read shaya....thanks!
Honestly, the guy is the article is right...at the end he says - if you are 19 you belong there!

Most people are not as enlightened or privledged to love the beats we love. So to most, it is the "bar/club scene"...besides..i'll let that scene keep their drunk, filthy, dirtbag crew. and we'll keep our good people!
Separation is wise!

lol, give me a break. Firstly, why do you classify people who go to those kind of clubs as filthy? Secondly, you think the afterhours scene is full of "good people", you are obviously quite naive.

In regards to the article, it's good to read an article that doesn't demonize clubland for once.

.

first off, i'm not naive...i do believe that the barscene is filthy....and that it IS all about ass, and bling, and fake people, and basically shitty music.
and no, i dont think the afterhours has all "good people"...however, it does have a lot of them...who are there for the music... for the love...for good feeling, and happiness, and peaceful things... not to pick up. Sure there are lots of bad people in afterhours, mostly those i dont associate with. But the ones that are good, are REALLY good. And i'm willing to take them over all the drunk idiots trying to get a piece of ass.

There are many that attend mainstream clubs that think that the afterhours scene is "filthy" as well. They think it's full of drug addicts. I'm sure this is an opinion you would disagree with as it is an unfair stereotype, much like the ones you are making about the mainstream club scene.

Also, what's wrong with going to a bar to "get a piece of ass"? Just because you don't like it dosen't mean it's morally wrong.

Sure, there are a lot of drunk idiots that are annoying in those bars, but there are also a lot of sketchy idiots that are annoying in afterhours clubs.

i agree with you.
a lot of people think that about the club scene, and some of it's true. my point is that the good parts are better than any good parts in the barscene. i'm cool with people picking up, and doing whatever they like, in fact..have at it i just dont like being in the middle of it. and in the afterhours, i wear even less clothing than i would at a bar, and rarely get bothered. it's a comfort thing for me.

i agree with stereotyping, and therefore disgress my comment, calling them all filthy. i do feel however, the majority are...not because they get a piece of ass, just the feel of the environment (also, with no good music, makes me more miserable), and the going about of doing it.

It's true there are a lot of annoying sketbags at afterhours, but i'll take them over the drunks on most occasions.

In my 8 years of partying in both scenes, i prefer afterhours any day... for several reasons.
