hilarious .. i can almost see this being like a game of Monopoly for companies .. Landsdowne and Kennedy station being at the low end..

"The next stop brought to you by TG Faust Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of Teflon Body Armor presents: Kennedy station."

The Scotia Bank Theatre... The Rogers Center... The Ted Rogers School of Management...

Im tired of this game.

However from a financial perspective it makes too much sense.

I would be angry if they changed the name of current stations, but if this helped fund the expansion of the subway lines, then lets do it... Next stop Wal-Mart Station.... GIVE ME A SQUIGGLEY

Exactly what I was thinking!

The current stations must retain some label that describes its geographic location.

By all means paint the entire station in your company logo and colours, slather ads all over the walls, sell ad space on the side of trains (like they do with streetcars)and have the TTC personell wear SONY jerseys, but don't screw with the names of the stations.

Pepsi's Bloor/Yonge or Greenwood by Acura is fine, but I agree the names need to have some geographical context.
