If a track has lyrics, I'll try to pay attention to the lyrics at least once, usually 3rd or 4th time through. I try not to dissect tracks, but as a DJ, I'm prone to listening to the tracks and figuring out how the elements work.

As far as musical changes, I never really bothered to learn music theory (even though I played an instrument for over 15 years), which is a shame, and subsequently can't compose/produce worth anything.

I try to just listen to the music without nitpicking, but if a section or melody catches my ear, I'll perk up and listen intently.

yes, every single piece of music. Disect/Listen 60/40. Bad habit...but helps with what im trying to do.

99% of the time I can't help it too, but sometimes that magical thing when you are emotionally involved enough in the track makes me forget I'm dissecting the track.

Sometimes it automatically happens when i listen to some simple and boring track.
And i do it if i want to understand a track.

Yes, especially ever since I started playing around with production. When I listen to music I like to sort of visualize a color coded 3D image of the sound in my head
