The funny thing is that many people still think that cannibalism has once been common in primitive societies.
The fact is that cannibalism is a very, very, very very very very very, very....very rare thing in the history of mankind.
So why do many people think it existed ? Because the idea of cannibalism has been used to "demonize" the "others.
In other words, one tribe would say "they are wrong, they are the human flesh eaters", to motivate attack and war.

I really don't get it, there is a global food crisis, yet canabilism is taboo...? it is meat and chemicals ain't it,... it's not like you are killing people to eat them.. something the food industry does to animals.. what would be so bad about eating human's that have passed on and arn't diseased.. like heart attacks etc..
Look at populations in China and India.. think how much food they need for their billions.. surely eating their dead would reduce the needs of their food requirements.. likewise in North America with so many FAT people.. the fat on their bodies would keep a family of four alive for a week or two or three or month or so depending on the person.
Like wouldn't some dead relative in a famine struck area.. be a meal or two to their family?
