Wasn't really that low, actually. S&D's booth isn't even the same one that everybody else used, because they traveled with their own custom booth the entire tour, and it was pretty fucking tall.

I'm sure he's just finalizing the "public" one so he can just use one of those, no point in making another one when he's in the middle of mass producing them.

From what many people are thinking on the internet, maven was made on an open source hardware midi system. I don't believe they did very much hardware engineering at all. The Korg has a good chance of being more technologically advanced for the reason that the maven's hardware project is really aging now.
