Seriously, Delerium is an industrial themed ambient band. (It's the guys from Front Line Assembly, AKA one of the guys from Skinny Puppy, they're ooooooold school industrial.) The only trance track I've heard worth noting as a classic is of course the remixes of Silence. |
Well, they were originally the "dark ambient" side-project of Front-Line Assembly, and the first albums were quite dark and maybe had an slight industrial influence, but after "Semantic Spaces" they start making new-age/worldbeat music, that is, catchy sweet arpeggios, relaxing pads with the pigmies singing on top, plus a bit of cliche a-la Enigma gregorian chanting etc. I have to confess that (IMO) they suck in making this type of thing, and if one wants this new-age/worldbeat type of music there are much better names to dig, such as the good old Enigma and/or Mike Oldfield and the newer and amazing Amethystium.
