-wurst is german for sausage, and they have different ones. Brat/Brock(or brot, i forget) currywurst etc.

Mainly because the horrible mispronunciation hurts my ears. It's not about the accent, it's because the word has been integrated into the english language, not under the original german pronunciation, but apparently a modified and annoying one.

Oh yeah, and I don't like all sorts of Bratwurst, but Thüringer is great.
