They dont have to be Beatport promos, but yes Beatport promos would be a good avenue to choose tracks from. Recently got Telefon Tel Aviv remix of a Apparat - Arcadia from a Beatport promo. Also Fairmont - Fade and Sature. So we can start by including those two as possible choices to get the ball rolling. Super new tracks might be harder to include because not everyone has accumulated the newest tracks, so 2005/2006/2007 tracks are more than welcome.

well since your programming skills could use some work, maybe you should partake in this to practice.

I doubt it, but we'll see. Hopefully the competition actually happens, seems logistically hard to execute

please define your parameters of logistics regarding the full, and comprehensive completion of a satisfactory set competition. A blueprint would be preferred. And please do all of this on your PS3 Jesus Christ Edition bundled with Metal Gear Solid.

Well its much easier to program when you have a wide range of music to choose from. When a DJ only has 25 tracks to choose from it gets a bit more difficult, a bit more interesting to see the craft in play. I guess thats where this competition's value is, anyone can program a decent mix from a pool of 100 or 1000 tracks like many of us have access to. From a pool of 25 tracks of which many are not chosen by the DJ kinda seperates the men from the boys in the area of programming. I'd expect confident DJ's to recognize this, and step up to the plate. Im sure people are interested in the competition, but like Nefardac said, the 25 tracks need to be decided first before things really get rolling. Which is something I dont have complete control over, and need others to help push that front of the competition.
