agreed with the poster about the proggy sound. i think in general your mixes have always tended to go that direction. You always tend to play a little more dreamy or nostalgic or twinkly or something. (can't think of a good word atm)
and this is in no way a judgment statement, just an observation

i still can't get over how much of a definite 'sound' you have always had, regardless of the style you're pushing at any moment. you always know it's rjt |
I missed this earlier, but even if it were a judgment statement I'd be thrilled to be described as the "tinkly, nostalgic, dreamy" guy.
It's really nice to hear you say that you think I have a distinct style - because it's something that has always been of great concern to me, and something I haven't ever really had a ton of confidence in myself for doing well. I really don't care much about what my tracklists look like on paper, nor that I'm constantly digging just for the sake of digging (i.e. if I find something I like, I'll play it - I don't care so much about trying not to play "popular" producers or DJ's just for the sake of not playing them), but I also think the fact that I try to do that sometimes leaves me with doubts as to whether or not I'm just another bland face in a sea of thousands.
Comments like yours are very reassuring. Thanks again, Adam.

Anyway, finally got to listen to it at the gym on the treadmill... fucking fantastic mix. It's the first time in about a year I ran for at least an hour (hate running with a passion), and listened to the entire mix. I was sprinting on the treadmill with a giant musical boner. Carl Craig's remix as your opening track was spot-on for me and really got me in the mood. I wasn't really paying attention to the times when a song I really enjoyed was on because I was running, but there were some real epic win tracks on here. Once again, great work Probably one of your best mixes that I've listened to imo |
Legendary review boss - I always prefer to hear why/how/when it was that people listened to something and really enjoyed it than for them to necessarily critique it. I really appreciate you grabbing everything of mine that you have.

And I'm glad the C2/Art Bleek thing wasn't too jazzy an intro for everyone. Another big priority for this one was BPM range - the last few have probably changed about two to three BPM's total throughout their entirety. This one changes by 8, but I think even the early, low BPM stuff could be classified as "slow bangers."
