i swear if i hear Grindhouse one more time its going to go from an awesome song to played out in one week. DT, Calderone, Cedric, Sharam, Burridge and Kalt all played it. i assume Erick did though i didn't stay to the end for him so i can't be sure.

yeah well maybe so...

Like i said, i missed most of his set because of the crap that went down. AND on top of that Morillo told him to keep it low key and not play any big records OR any hard pumping electro.

So i guess the Morillo roumors were true after all.

def not the 1st time i've heard of a big dj asking the opener to not play to certain songs/etc. its kind of silly but then you would not have to hear the same song in the same nite like i did at Wet Republic with Grindhouse Sat and Sun.

though Morillo's request wouldn't explain Lee's track selection on the promo cd of his i have.

First time in Vegas this weekend and wow, I'm in love with that place. Best place in the country to party I have ever been to. Where do all these girls come from????

I was at Tao beach on Sunday. Bad boy bill was there and so was Tiesto although I'm not sure if Tiesto spun. Some sick tracks were dropped though. They could of played anything and I woulda had a blast. Probably the best party I have ever been to in my life. Man I need to go back there.

So I finally get a chance to write a quick review of my fucken awesome weekend.

Seriously, Wet Republic was amazing. I love the concert sound system, the vibe, the HOT GIRLS, and everything else. It reminded me of Miami. The only thing that's missing is Kryo, than it would be set!!! The drinks are really strong, and the prices are comparable to Hollywood. The staff was really friendly, treated my friend and I like royalty. Awesome times. I'm going back ASAP.

So here's my review.

First things first.

----- INTRO ----
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! What a weekend! I kicked off my weekend Friday @ Avalon. It was fun times. But then again, it was the usual Avalon. Nothing out of this world. I got home at 5:30am only to wake up by 9am. Notice the times, this is key!

Saturday afternoon, I was talking to my friend Letty, than all of the sudden I'm like, HEY, LET's GO TO VEGAS! And she said YES!!! I had a gig that night, so after my gig off to Vegas we go. We get to Vegas around 8am, and it's been 23 hours I had no sleep. And all this time, I was sober. To top it off, we couldn't find a hotel room anywhere!!! We finally found one at the Orleans, but they didn't gave it to us until 10:30am. Shit, Wet Republic was about to start! I get one hour of sleep and off to Wet Republic we go.

----- DEEP DISH & CEDRIC ----
We get to Wet Republic and Cedric was already playing. We got our wristbands, run into a few friends, and before you know, we were on the VIP right next to the DJ Booth. What a view. We can see everything that was going on, and even managed to take pix with Cedric & Sharam. The people at the MGM Treated Letty and Me like Royalty. Very much props to them.

Anyhow, so I never seen Cedric until now. And WOW!!! Was I impressed!!! WOW!!! Cedric is amazing. But, I gotta say I liked Sharam a lot better. I had stopped listening to Deep Dish because they started to bore me, but Sharam redeemed himself on Sunday.

I think the music was near perfect. They dropped a lot of big hits, but it was perfect for that pool party where unfortunately not a lot of people knew who they were. They dropped Party All The Time, Proper Education and more. People were eating the music left and right.

Sometime after 6pm Cedric & Sharam started tag teaming and that's when the party really took off. Everyone knew something good was happening so the whole front got packed with people jumping and screaming. They busted out a bottle a Patron and started passing it around to everyone on the Dj Booth. It was madness, but very freakin' fun.

----- ROGER SANCHEZ & JAZZY JEFF ----
WOW!!! I was having the time of my life on Sunday, but after hearing Roger Sanchez, wow!!! I Think I have a new favorite DJ. He is fucken amazing.

We weren't gonna go to Wet Republic because we wanted to go home. But a friend of mine convinced me to go. So we stayed. We got there and Jazzy Jeff was on. He's like the Tiesto of Hip Hop. Jazzy was getting down, doing a lot of live mashups and mixing a little bit of everything. And boy, can he pull girls!!! There was hotties all over the place. My eyes looked like this .

Jazzy was playing a lot of older hip hop and some mainstream EDM like Satisfaction! lol. But that was perfect for his crowd. Girls love him. But either way, my friend Letty and I couldn't wait for Roger Sanchez to get on. We killed time checking out girls and drinking Mojitos!!! Which BTW, they came in perfect for the weather and the atmosphere.

So Roger goes on and the place explodes!!! We were shocked! We thought it was a total hip hop crowd, but it wasn't!!! WOW!!! That fueled Roger and bam! Hit after hit after hit! He was dropping acapellas over tracks I would never expect it. Then out of no where he plays Pjanoo and drops some acapella over it! WOW! That made my weekend.

So I'm glued to the DJ booth the whole time he's on. I was wearing my Daft Punk shirt, and Roger looks at me, smiles, points at me, and BAM!!!! He drops HARDER FASTER STRONGER!!!! Everyone around me went nuts and started giving me props! Some d00d even offered me $100 for my shirt! And I said FUCK NO!!!! Hahahaha

Earlier in the afternoon, Roger had teased me when he dropped the vocals for Technologic for just a few seconds. He saw me jump and he just smiled.

Roger is an amazing down to earth guy. When I was up on the DJ booth, you can totally feel his good vibes. He was just enjoying the music, mashing up tracks live, and not giving a fuck about anything. He played a lot of commercial hits, but just like Sharam, it was perfect!

We chatted for like a min in between songs, took a pix, and I took off back to the OC. Wow, what a weekend.

Review???

Oh hell no!

What ever happened to
"Whatever Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas?"

Ok Ok...I'll try...at least my fingers aren't sore...lol

Friday night - Started @ Bank...ewww. Can't stand a Vegas Club w/mashups packed like sardines!
After hours - Jeff Bomb/Swedish egil pretty much tag teaming. Scooter and Lavelle thereafter. Lets just say my friends all said that I made no sence when I spoke. I couldn't understand anyone, and no one could understand me. I was bouncing all over the place and chilling behind the DJ's. Dont know the rest.

As for Empire. Yes, they didn't pay their rent so they moved afterhours to Asia @ Planet Hollywood. Empire will prob file bankruptcy and re-open with a new name or the old name (Utopia)

Saturday - All day recovery on bed...

Saturday night - Tryst - We had a table so it was nice. Lots of action all around...then to another friend's table @ Jet...yuck...more house music with a dirty look from the dj when I asked him if he played house music...then to Asia, but didn't stay too long.

Sunday - Wake up 3ishPM. Wet Republic after Cedric during Sharam. Fun times! Wet kills Rehab! Barely any of those muscle head steroid freaks that Rehab has. Employees for the most part are all respectfully and courteous.

Sunday night - My friend Leyla Milani (#13 Deal or No Deal) had an appearance @ this place @ Luxor called Cat House. Kinda had a brothel theme. Every half our or our there was a lil tease show.

Headed to Morillo @ Tao w/ my T-shirt, sneakers and sunglasses!

Had a table there as well. I know most of the dancefloor enjoyed the rest of the freakin 6 bottle minimum! I was the last standing out of the group and there was still almost full bottles of Goose and Belvedere. Stayed til the end ~ 8:30.

Monday - Woke up 3/4ish. Shower, Wet Republic. DJ Jazzy Jeff for a lil then Roger! So nice to see your favorite two house DJ's night/next day. As mentioned abover, Roger is a really cool down to earth guy. And will actually play a request (if it is a good one!) I was with two Persian models. Couldn't as for more!

So I was gonna head back after Roger @ Wet, however I heard traffic was horrible on the 15...so...check in Venetian. Might as well go to Tiesto @ Bank. Right?

Now @ Bank...and most other Vegas venues. You are basically screwed if you are not with a table! I knew somehow my ass needs to get on that 2nd level. Thankfully I got passed the ropes and eventually was handed a table with from these 3 guys from Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
Dear Dubai guys, Thank you for the almost full bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label, Belveder, mixers, waters, strawberrys and chocolat. Tip to bar back kept it looking nice to the end.

Today - (Tuesday) ate @ Grand Lux @ Venetian and got on the 15. No stops. Listened to a couple sets and back home.

My sole is rejuvinated! Viva Las Vegas!
