Oh man, I wrote massive amounts of programs for my TI-83 for just about every subject: physics, trig/pre-calc, chemistry, you name it.
Then I lost my calculator before my pre-calc exam.
It turned out okay, though, since I knew how to do everything manually. We were required to get TI-89s for calc anyway, and it served me well. I still use it occasionally, but all the heavy lifting has been supplanted by Matlab.
RIP calculator. TI's aren't supposed to break.

1. I received my first TI-83+ license in my Sophmore year in high school. It was great, and I was great at it. Unfortunately, I was too great at it, and the following year, my trigonometry teacher and the board of directors revoked my TI-83+ license for coding Proggies that would instantly shoot out answers. I was reduced to a conventional calculator. Later, I was taken out of the regular school schedule for disciplinary issues. Without regular supervision, I could have gone back to cheating, but I found it more challenging and FUN to do it the old fashioned way.
And isn't that what relationships are all about?
2. and by the way, I have 6 TI-83+s, so my dick > your dick. |
I used to store info in my calculator programs for test but then I realized that making programs with "ti-83 basic code" is more fun and interesting plus would do the work for any problem quicker. On test you still had to show your work but this would be great for error checking when sometimes your in a rush and you f up some of the numbers. If your major is or was engineering then coding your calc was the way to go!!
