i think alot of the DJs playing at Minitek will be playing at SS..just Made showing whos boss in NYC..Made had Marco Carola booked then took it down..Richie Hawtin was up on the site then took down..theres no doubt it my mind that was with Magda..theres 3 of the top ppl playing Minitek..Made is gonna throw probly 80% of the same DJs just to shyt all over Minitek so not as many ppl go to Minitek bc the same DJs will be playing 2 weeks before..thats my .02

Always glad to see new events pop up to challenge them and breathe new life into this scene. I hope Minitek is a HUGE success. $45 IS a pretty awesome price for all three days.

no it's not the nature of business, you can compete without being a scumbag and many companies do it. i am in no way saying this is what they are doing since i personally don't know. i like MADE events and have personally enjoyed nearly every MADE party i've been to. what i said was if that were the mentality of a certain business it would make them douches. that's it and yeah go MADE.

regardless of what the mentality behind it is, competition is a good thing for us party go-ers. maybe now MADE will think about dropping the ticket price seeing the 45 dollar price tag for Minitek. if the djs that i want to see are spinning at both of these events, ill end up choosing the one that has a better location and that costs less.
adultnapper to dispell all myths here fellow new yorkers. there is absolutely no intention of competition here. this was planned for a long time and will be a completely different type of line-up. Both Minimoo and Made are doing excellent things for the New York scene. It should be a very fun month in new york!!!

I doubt its a similar lineup as the Minitek festival. Adultnapper seems like a credible source. Plus that would be over the top scummy by Made.

Adultnapper said on the 'ism board that the SS lineup will be very different from the Minitek one.

A lot of time and effort goes into planning these events and you never really know for sure what is going on until it's announced. I don't think Made would sabatoge Minitek lol. It sucks for them but shit like this happens every month on a smaller scale whether you realize it or not.

Even if they were to have slightly similar or completely different line ups SSD is an epic party and you should be fuking grateful that they are having one NOT in miami and NOT during WMC.
Competition would be more like - the same weekend and purposely trying to steal dj's away. [which isn't happening]
Quite frankly, I love the dj's booked at both events and will be fuking happy to see kick ass dj's 2 weeks apart versus once a year.
