Although Im very new to making music I"ve found that making the beat first is easiest so far. Though like I said I am very new to making music

most of the time i start with a kick and a baseline or some acid pattern, then i waste ALOT of time just looping it and adding elements into the loop. then i get tired of the loop before starting on structure

lately ive done a mockup of the buildup and the takeoff, trying to make all the sounds work together, then i delete all automation and structure, and start building the track from scratch..

And I hope it fades away with time and experience cuz that's a lot of wasted time, and faded creativity. I call it tunnel vision.
