Wow!!! What a night!!! I actually stayed sober. Not a single drop of alcohol. Wow!!! So much!!! But unfortunately, I think I'm getting to old for this shit! hahaha
I got there at 12:10 and everything went pretty smoothly. Until I walked in. DAYUM! IT WAS PACKED!!!! It was a fucken mission trying to get to Michelle and Greg. I had to bust my old cholo moves and do some ass woopin just to get to the front. When I first settled in, I was in the middle and people were rude! Too much pushing, plus I felt like I was at a gay club. It was mostly guys. I was feeling kinda eeeky, and I finally started telling all the guys to FUCK OFF AND STOP JUMPING AND STOP PUSHING. You should've seen the sad look on their face. It was almost like their father just reprimanded them!!! haha They stopped! ha! But I was still on a mission to go to the front with Michelle.
I made to Michelle, and wow!!! Finally! Some room to breath. I noticed last night that most people on the front were really protective of their space. They wouldn't let people walk by them. That was good. One buzz kill, e-puddles!!!! ggggrrrrrrr what a buzz kill!!! On the upside, I had some hot girls rubbing their bodies against mine!!! Yea! They were cracked out, but when they're hot, who's to complain! hahaha
Anyhow, Tiesto!!! It was good to finally hear a Tiesto set that wasn't all classics. When he played the harder stuff, WOW!! That was fucken amazing. Really hard banging trance and some hard techno. But some of the mellow stuff was blah. Does anyone know if he played Rachael's new track To Forever? I didn't hear it cuz I got there late, but if he did, it had to be at the beginning when he was playing the mellow stuff.
Overall, awesome night! Specially hanging out with old friends.

WOW what a night!
that is all I can say. my brain is not functioning right now. |
I saw Silly Silvia, Jeremy Reese and TommyfromLA.
I think they sound was messed up since they had all the additional sound, visuals etc.
For the most part I hung around the elevated table area, towards the end of the set I chilled behind the guys in the back of the dancefloor working all the switches. There was even a small monitor/camera on Tiesto working the CD-J's/mixer.
The crowd was pretty bleh...but it's trance in LA, what do you expect? Upstairs was pretty dead. I reminded the bartenders up there that they should have a pretty good Friday night since drinks are free up there and they pretty much want to hustle for tips.
Joaquin Bamaca played a pretty slamming opening and closing. He is pretty talented! I've heard him play a couple times now. He played a great set when he opened for Benassi a couple months back also. Here is what I found on him
Born in Guatemala City, Joaquin Bamaca has been creating a buzz in the dance scene with his innovative sound. As one of the few DJs with a coveted residency with Insomniac, he's played alongside some of the most recognized DJs in the world. It all began at the age of 12, when Joaquin first heard Masters at Work’s "I Can’t Get No Sleep" and house music became his passion. Now, Joaquin continues to gather inspiration from various musical styles by incorporating deep, acid, soulful, tech, funky, tribal, and progressive house into his sets.
