I guess that this might depend partly on what the person is doing. If I saw an older man or woman just kind of standing around, it wouldn't seem as weird as if they were dancing up a storm and had their jaw hanging out.

I'm kinda done staying out to absurd hours, plus I'm tired of smoky clubs and dealing with annoying people.

I don't know, I'm just not that into 'clubbing'. Now, when I'm behind the decks, then it's a whole different game

When I was 20-26 (now 34) we went to clubs till around 5 in the morning at Saturday. Sunday we needed to recover
Also at Friday we often visited clubs till 3 or 4, these were the more clubbie clubs (Living Joy - Dreamer etc.)
By the age of 29 when I married my wife, clubbing got a lot less and after our daughter was born almost 2 years ago, there of course were more important things than going out.

But I still love trance and don't believe I will ever stop loving it. I cannot imagine I would.

I'll be 32 in December, and I've never even been to a club. I guess that means I will never get into the scene.

How do you do that?

I'm very open minded and I'd like to give everyone a chance with music. I just can't judge them by their online sets/radioshows ONLY.

Seeing them live can sometimes seal the deal for me.

Or don't get married....

You really should visit some clubs, although I only have been in European clubs so cann't really compare. I always enjoyed going out and many were over 30 especially on Friday nights.

The club crowd in Europe spans a larger age group than in the US.

Too late. Married with two stepdaughters. Living in the woods in rual Tennessee doesn't help much, either. I should have at least hit up Tiesto at Bonnaroo, as that was very close to me. But when you can't get any time off work or home...

Yepp, that's how things go. Maybe after 15+ years we get another chance when our daughters are on their own?

But Ferry and Armin will still be around then looking at their age, so never say never...

Oh, I'd love to find a little low keyed place in say Chattanooga or Nashville that played some good progressive house or trance. A smaller, more intimate venue that wasn't crammed full of 80,000 candy ravers and shit, but from what I understand there isn't such a place in this vicinity. It's a shame, as I would like to hear a good set on a club system before I die.

Not so sure about clubs, but recently I thought of the time when we'll all be old some of us being grand father by then. When you'll listen to some techno classic from the '90s your granchildren will say something like: "Grand Pa, your music is really unlistenable, how can you listen to this crap?". Lol
Great will be the time when fathers will be into electronic music and children into something more old skool (let's say classic rock).

*raises hand*

It was a bit after I turned 20 that I started growing out of it all. Though I must admit I'd probably still be into EDM if there was still some originality and creativity to it like there was in the early 90s. Having to go through swarms of shit only to enjoy about one in a thousand releases really killed the enthusiasm.
