I also heard on the radio that Toronto just passed a bylaw that let's cops prosecute you for driving under the influence of drugs (apparently their arms were tied before)

This few-month transition period sucks.

I guarantee that EVERY cabbie, even if they have the latest or calibrated meters, will SAY TO YOU, "My meter hasn't been updated yet, there will be a 10% surcharge" because of the right to charge extra.

Everyone will get ripped off.

How is one supposed to know if one gets the new meters or had them updated?

this is why i walk everywhere or use the ttc! i already thought they were too expensive.

thank god i live downtown and not in buttfuck nowhere so that i don't really need to use cabs.

I sometimes now wish I lived in a city that had better public transportation. I also wish that it wouldn't take me so long to get to work on a bus or I would actually think about taking it.
