i love talking to bas about music and mixing and songs, etc... he knows his shit and is very informative.


basically i like talking to people i can learn from about things that interest me. i also love talking to my best friend about cars. he's a huge car buff and has a custom rim/wheel shop and all we do is is usually smoke a j in the car on the way to dinner and we will talk about cars the entire time. i love it.

Oh i can agree on that. However those people are far to few. Almost anybody can learn a few details about a subject to make you interested by what they have to say (a few of the professors at my uni are like that. They couldn't put on an interesting presentation to save their lives, and the only reason why im not asleep like most of the class is because I'm genuinely interested in the subject), but to truly grasp a listeners attention and keep him interested in what you are saying, requires a different skill altogether. A skill that I'm sad to notice many people (who should have it) lack.


Of course all this applies only if we are talking about proper conversation and/or debate. Usually if there is any alcohol involved this theory goes right out of the window. That's the only way i can explain how, a couple of weeks ago while a bit drunk i wasn't at all bored when two friends of mine (who were also drunk) were having a debate about their socks. Then again i did have a rather nice view of both their breats so that probably helped a bit too.

This is such a paramount reason to my love for new concepts, ideas, viewpoints, theories, etc. Things that I do now know, are generally fascinating to me. Unless of course it is a boring subject like literature.
