Hey kiddies :P

I personally don't like novels, or books about fantasies and horror, sci-fi...I am more into realistic reading-i.e., medicine, PSYCHOLOGY, health, life, philosophy...etc..you get the picture...

One being my best so far:
The End of Time, by Krishnamurti
Very inspirational.

The newspaper is always my fav!
THE NEW YORK TIMES!

Best fiction: The Dragonlance Chronicles by Weiss & Hickmann. Read them twice and they still have all the qualities that Lord of the Rings is lacking: Excitement, romance, tension and a blurred line between good and evil.

Best horror: The Shining or It. Can't really decide.

FINALLY somebody on these boards who has read the chronicles and agrees...I'm currently in the middle of the "Legends" series (just finished the first one)...damn, I'm dying to find out if Caramon actually go through with it. And I love that series...Chronicles are just really really well done.

This book by Merle (dunno the English title sorry), where women take over the world since there is a deadly virus which has effects on men only. The only ones left become slaves. What a lovely idea, of course it doesn't work out!

HAHAHA I literally BURNED Sophies world. I read it and then threw it against the wall as hard as I could then lit it on fire. I hated that book with a holy passion. As far as philosophy books go it SUCKS because it is the must subjective one-sided approach to a world view ive ever read. *pulls out hair* AHHH I HATED IT...apparently chicks like it though

Ayn Rand is a moral relativist isnt she? (The rightness or wrongness of an action is subjective only to the group that believes in such a thing and there are no universal rights and wrongs) i remember something along this line.

Im fantasy all the way. Robert Jordan: stunning absolutely stunning, Frank Herberts DUNE series: awesome, something no one has been able to do and the feel of it is incredible. The Death Gate Cycle by margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman was very original, I liked the margaret weiss tracy hickman Dragon Lances too with the Dragons of summer winter etc... David Eddings Beglariad, Mallorean, Elenium and Tamuli rock, Tad WIlliams Dragon Bone Chair series is pretty good, and finally Raymond E Feist with his riftwar and other series were excellent.

Read This!

J.R.R Tolkien is awesome, very good writer... far better than any dragonlance writer. I have read all the dragonlance trilogy utpill the 5th generation, and they are really good books, just they cant even begin to compare to tolkiens works... he created an entire world and genre, not to mention 7 or 8 different languages. The silmarillion and his lost tales books are still my favorites.

Anything in by J. D. Salinger in my opinion is really good. The Catcher in The Rye, Raise High The Roof Beam carpenters & and an introduction to seymour, are really good.

George R. Martin, and his books are really good too, his fire & ice trilogy is awesome... and i cant believe everybody forgot Robert Jordan, he has the best trilogy out at the moment... the wheel of time kicks ass, i recomend it to all...

for more science fiction type reading, Ray Radbury, he is awesome.

Oh yes.....the bible......my FAVORITE BOOK.

I'd read germinal but it is hard to stomach at some parts......just because of zola's imagery of the times. Read it anyways...
