i understand better than anyone that in america there will always be a large fraction of the public who will continue to live their lives as a health statistic regardless of what you say and in 20 years they'll be suckling off the health care system at everyone else's expense, but i'm putting the info out there for others who didn't already know that jamba juice is loaded with an obscene amount of sugar, or that high-sugar diets are a LEADING cause of degenerative disease, especially in america. i could write at length about the many ways high sugar doses promote an array of disease, but i'm sure that would just piss all the cranky sugar-crashing junk dieters off.

I'm sure you live your life by the books too, right?

You're always the voice of reason, some kind of chemist?

I won't even search but i've seen you battling it out in a "substance" threads, health nut, protein diets...

learning too much about that shit makes you paranoid.
half kidding. half of it, I dont want to know about.

i'm not paranoid, i just plan on living past 100 and not dying because of massive organ failure. the biggest obstacle in that path is a poor diet.

But everything you have said is true. My company does all the advertising for California's nutrition campaign. We work with low-income mothers across the state to teach them how to properly feed their kids and get them 30 minutes of exercise each day. Most low-income families rely on McDonald's and other fast food restaurants to feed their kids because it's cheap and easy. It's very difficult for these mothers to come home and cook after working 2+ jobs to feed their 2+ kids. Hence the childhood obesity epidemic.

Why fear death? Enjoy life while you can. Alot of things are unhealthy but it's my choice.(Smoking cig/weed drinking and good fatty food).

yea it's particularly bad in low income neighborhoods where starchy processed food franchises are on every street corner and healthy alternatives like delis are extremely rare. when i lived in the barrio (hayward) i couldn't find healthy food for my life, not even at 'food source' the closest grocer. it's like these low income households aren't even given the option. when food prices rise and the price of mcds stays the same, the tendency is to switch to mcds. and who can beat a $5 hot n ready from pizza hut that feeds a family of 4?

That's true.. if your family has a history of massive organ failure.. even if not, what is the first to go bad.
All my organs are fresh, they have a born-on date.

My Gramps is 98, and he lives by himself and is perfectly healthly.
Doesnt eat shit food, cooks for himself.. lots of chicken and greens from his garden.
Exercises everyday, on a little treadmill, 2lb weights.

He learned how to drive on a Model T Ford!

i'm not afraid of death, but i enjoy life too much to trade it away for lower quality living and an expedited ending. i've lived the unhealthy life throughout college, was a big fan of the jamba juice/mcds diet, and i know now i'm not missing out on anything. once in a while i'll go back to mcds, i just refuse to make it anything close to a pattern. i'm enjoying myself much more now and down the line than the future diabetics, fatties and cancer victims of america.
