run sound through your djm800 you may as well just crap on your hand and produce with that

shit all on your keyboards... nasty

get a REAL soundcard/audio interface and run a balanced line into your monitors directly

i am using the presonus firebox, fantastic way to start

screw the trigger finger. just get used to playing out beats on the oxygen instead of dishing out the extra cash you could use towards something more important.

Trigger finger is good for ableton, but a soundcard is the most important thing after a MIDI keyboard in my opinion.

I personally think soundcard and monitors are the first things to get. I have a midi keyboard and an Akai MPD which I almost never use. But the monitors and soundcard are in almost constant use.

damn I forgot I made this thread. I read the review for the audiofire 4 but am uncertain how it ties the keyboard and mic to the comp. Does it come w recording software or do I record in ableton while running through the soundcard. It also has midi jacks in the back so I guess that would be useful.

as someone said it could be a idea to look at midicontrollers with inbuild soundcard. then u have both keyboard, audiodevice and midi in one box. then ull only need one and u can connect your planned analog synth later. i realy dont know which midicontrollers with inbuild soundcard is good tho, but Im interested to hear about it caus im currently about to start on fresh sheets with my own studio (selling everything )
