anyone used the ministy of sound's headphones? The ProDJ 1001 look pretty serious.

(i dont really want to look in the other heaphone thread, too long )

Oh, and I've used the SOny 600 and 700's..

in my opinion the sound quality for both are very good. The 600's are more comfortable, but less manouverable for DJ use.. and the 700s are great except they put more pressure on the band going across ur head.

I have had both the Sony V600s and the V700DJs. They're waaaaaay overrated, as far as sound quality is concerned.

The sound quality and value of these headphones isn't good. Listen to any of these to see what I mean

http://www.headphone.com/layout.php...2&subTopicID=14

Every single one of these <$70 headphones, down to the $13 Sennheiser MX400, should beat the V600's and V700's in sound quality... and if you are looking for an inexpensive DJ headphone from this list, try the HD212 Pro, though my recommendation of these is hesitant, due to a lack of a few DJ features...

But, anyway, didn't you read this?

"The "Normal" DJ headphones that I don't mind too badly

Technics RP-DJ1200
IXOS DJ1001 "

That's the IXOS Ministry of Sound ProDJ 1001, friend...

MDR-V700 sucks ass.....I have both and serious as a heart beat....Technics fits like a glove...unless you have a Big head or something...I wouldn't want my audience to come up to me and ask me if I was Princess Leia.....

1210's all the way....

Cheers

Verdict: Responsive, fitting and lovely size....

well seriously to me their is not much sound quality difference between the 600s, 700s, and my own JVC $50 CND ones.. I said the sound quality is good on the 6 and 7s, but just like it is on all these cheaper headphones. Ur just paying for the name and the look.

Thats why I didnt pay $300 for the 700's (like a friend of mine did), and I got myself the JCV ones for DJing and the sony MDR-CD380 ($70 CND) for producing (cause their just so plain comfotable!!)

I need to save my money for records anyways

That's why you order the MDR-V6's from Etronics and buy the Velour pads from Sennheiser Northa America, and have one kickass studio/producing/dj/club/listening/travel/etc. set of headphones...

The MDR-V700's are prone to being broken.. the sound is not good value either!!
If you HAD to choose either one of them, the Technics are the way.. block out a lot more sound and it holds a more "clear" sound.

But get the HD280 pros.. great sound and blocks background noise to 32db
