"hipster" is just a convenient way to label tons of people who stand out too much.

There are idiots in every social arena, not just this particular scene, and the sooner people realize that the sooner I won't have to put up with this insane amount of generalizing and stereotyping that is no better than the people it seeks to criticize.

I agree and disagree clovis. Hipsters do it for fashion trend, not just because they stand out. It promotes it, if anything.
