And this is turning out to be so sick. Me wants alcohol to enjoy this delicious funky techno to its maximum.

I absolutely enjoyed this mix, Rob.

Really nice range of sounds, and I was really glad to hear something more organic from you. There were some really gorgeous tracks in here. Didn't hear much in the way of detroit techno as I was hoping, but the detroit influences and acoustic instrumentation were very pleasant.

My favorite by far was the "turn it around' vocal track. - Actually I take that back , the track at 14:30 is absolutely fantastic as well. Those two are definitely the highlights for me

I was really glad that this mix had kind of a really long emotional ending rather than to just build up and throw a track in at the end.

With "Ghosts In My Machine" (superb superb track btw) I felt like the mix could have taken the banging route, but instead you literally 'turned it around' and 'introverted' the mix, and I thought that was really special and different.

I wasn't really enjoying the track at 61:01, felt it was kind of out of place for this emotional ending - sort of a chuggy partystarter.

Last track was gorgeous. I have to say I cringed at the vocals at first, but the arrangement and instrumentation pulled me in and I didn't want it to end.

I'm afraid all I really want to comment on are the tracks, since that's all I really care about anyways. I'm sure you know it's mixed very well. I hate giving technical feedback because it is beside the point of deejaying IMO

I'll just say was mixed exactly the way it needed to be, and the way you transition suggests very legible emotional intent.

Dub of last track please

Seriously, this is gorgeous. For the first time ever, I will be listening to your mix in its entirety (and more than once).

Really glad you enjoyed it, Adam. There definitely wasn't as much of a direct "these are the Detroit techno tunes" part of the mix, but I definitely thought the general vibe of the set had little hints of Detroit sprinkled here and there. Maybe it wasn't as prominent as I thought.

Those are tracks from Buzzin' Fly and Kindisch respectively - actually the Daniel Mehlhart and Rocco tracks I mentioned earlier. Glad you liked them - that Melhart tune is one of my favorites right now, and the Rocco is an oldie but a goodie.

Boy am I glad to hear someone say that - I've often gotten mixed responses towards ending slow, but this just felt like that kind of set.

This is definitely some high praise as far as I'm concerned - I didn't want to take the predictable slow-BPM to high-BPM, chill to banging approach to this, but also didn't want it to stay on an even keel the whole time. The Rocco track was my way of managing pace in the last section of the set without having to worry about large BPM shifts.

Yeah - I thought that was possibly out of place, but to be honest, it's in there because I love to do that mix. Dropping that bassline is just a lot of fun when done right. I still think it works, but definitely see where you're coming from.

I guess the kind of thoughts you've given were really what I was looking for - I didn't expect "mix a fell off at xx:xx time", but rather how the mix held up as a whole piece, and whether or not the mixing ever ruined the flow.

I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to this and comment on it right away. This is basically the product of me spending about 4 days in a row absolutely obsessing over getting this done - it feels good to get that kind of response right away

RE: The last track. As far as I know, there is no dub - there are no mixes of it, and to be honest, I probably wouldn't play them if there were. I'm fairly sure it was released once, on a single album by a relatively popular late 90's early 00's alt-rock band. The vocals are definitely cheesy and emo - but that's exactly why I like them.

One of my favorite tracks of all time and I have wanted to use it in a mix for ages but never in a million years thought I would.

And Sam - I'm glad I've finally impressed you
