It's not about giving thumbs up to something that isn't worth it. But if you give feedback to 'bedrooms' you'll maybe mind the vocabulary as they are not deep into that, and there's no point in just saying the track sucks. It's better to use a build-up in your critisism, and don't automaticly say that it's the newest 'Tune of the week'.

true, i would never say the track sucks... cos a lot of whats going out today sucks IMO... and also cos saying a track sucks won't help anyone...

so i think like you in a way, but i dont think a producer should state their producer "stats" or whatever, mainly because it will affect feedbacks and will create some sort of "discrimination" toward one of the sides...

I can see your point here, and I think your right too. But I think it useful to know when applying producing terminology, so that you don't have to explain everything you just told .

Lol i followed you to this thread theran and thanks for being gentle lol I agree with you.

Amatures need constructive critism you must have been there. Your learning the ropes you havent slept all night working on something and you think thats it I cracked it I know how to make a good track. Then someone comes on and goes i think its shit!

At leat you gave me some feeds on where i could have gone or tips for next time you know. Which i appreciated and will help me next time. Its really difficult to just learn from textbooks and practice sometimes. you can be practising it wrong which gets you nowhere

there is no wrong prctising mate, if you something in a different way well when you'll perfect it it will be much more awesome then something standard you're perfecting...

look a jimi hendrix, a classy example, he plays a right handed guitar on the left hand, and he has made awesome things with it... so maybe if you use, i dunno, more ratio instead of threshold on the compressors you could make a more unique and sweet sound... stuff like that

Yeah you could be on to something there. When people listen to my music they usually say yeah its ok, sounds a bit old, or sounds a bit like this track I heard etc. Maybe thats because I am trying to follow the rules and not seeing what happens when you go your own way. I always compress things in a similar way and I always write my melodies using the same method. Thansk mate i'll try and break the pattern tonight!

That's okay, but I think you should mention that in your begin post. I always think that people here are aiming to get something released, and old school stuff just isn't up for that, so I give feedback to that. If you are really aiming @ oldschool stuff (which I like to), than I'll adapt my feedback to that.
