But no, you went on the "preaching morals" tangent and you began talking about "change" and "people have the power"
No, thanks.

I do that on purpose partly to see such predictable reactions, but also because it might actually force some of you to actually attempt to do something about it.
Might help you to develop a bit of a tougher skin as well. I've got plenty to say but this isn't the right forum for it. I understand full well that there are many, many Americans who don't fall into the idiot category. In fact, I'm often one of the very first people to defend you when it gets serious but it still doesn't change the fact that you're seen as a nation together.

I'm also sure Croatia's government has never decided on anything wrong, and if they did, the country as a whole would rise up against their government representatives. |
Of course they did and still do, but that's more to do with corruption. We have some of the worst corruption levels in the world which is why it's tough to change things but they are getting better. The problem is the country is relatively new (in terms of independence) and is still in a phase of rebuilding. The issues between Croatia and the US are fundamentally so different though that they are incomparable. We're talking apples and oranges here and it's blatantly clear what a cheap shot that is, which by the way was a bad way to approach things
