Try:

Stars Of The Lid - "Stars Of the Lid And Their Refinement Of The Decline"

double album, from 2007.

I love it. It's such a serene ending to the otherwise dark On Land album.

Wow. Thank you so much. I love Saw II. I don't know who's better at times, Aphex or Eno. Checking out this massive list.

@ SMC. You used headphones, right?

Great list by Noisician as always

May i also add:

Emanuele Errante - "Migrations"

Boy Is Fiction - "Boy Is Fiction" (with a slight IDM edge. More moving and evolving rather than slow and drone)

Jon Jenkins - "Beyond City Light"

Balmorhea - "Rivers Arms" (More Neo-Classical and folk than ambient but has a similar lush-effect)

Deaf Center - "Pale Ravine"

Eluvium - "Talk Amongst The Trees"

Gel-Sol - "IZ" (with some electronic elements as well)

Also what SMC said about Stars of The Lid- an awesome drone-ambient project.

All these contain beautiful slowly emerging soundscapes, pianos and all the classic ambient elements.

If you specifically like "Deep Blue Day" with lush quitars and more dynamic and moving ambience (with not much slow drone ambience) then i'm traditionally going to suggest:

Hammock - "kenotic"

Lights Out Asia - "Garmonia"

Lanterna - "Lanterna"

Yume Bitsu - "Yume Bitsu"

Tristeza - "A Colores"

1 Mile North - "Glass-Wars"

Slowdive - "Pygmalion" (in the previous album-"Souvlaki"-Brian Eno was involved in the production but i like this better)
