Myst, for a while, was the best-selling PC game in history. The game nearly put me to sleep every time I played it! Sure, it was gorgeous, but there wasn't enough there to interest me.

I'll be honest though, I DID play both Sam & Max and Full Throttle back in the day every now and then at friend's houses, and they were both good times. So I partially retract what I said in my first post.

That game was pretty epic in scope considering when it was made, with the 3 branching paths and stuff.

I had it on floppy as well... I never knew there were voiceovers!

Oh, and shit, yeah I forgot Maniac Mansion for some reason....

Labyrinth was also fun.

Yeah, since you had Apples back then too, you know we always got screwed like that. The PC version was on CD with voices. We also had to wait sometimes a year or two to get the same game that PC already had.

The nice thing was, a lot of the "Mac ports" were more polished. A few examples come to mind. (Lemmings, Warcraft II, Armor Alley...)

Playing through Psychonauts again right now makes me realize just how much closer it is to a LA adventure game than a true platformer.

Love it.

I love that line.

Remember the dude in the trailer? He said the funniest stuff if you kept on bugging him.

And who could forget:

I'm not puttin' my lips on that.

I played Full Throttle, Fate of Atlantis, and Day of the Tentacle. Full Throttle was definitely my favorite.

Day of the Testicle was great. But there is nothing as amusing and nostalgic as Monkey Island 1.
