true. i suppose i should feel that way now since i'm moving to a new apartment by myself and starting school again in a few weeks... but i've been so busy that i haven't really had time to process everything that's happening.

I'm not getting my bachelor's until I'm 23 or 24.

I'm hoping to start university next september, 2 months before i'll turn 28, after overcoming some illnesses & working on discovering the things that make me who i am, i don't really care if i seem old there, I just wanna learn something that interests me. Now to pick my uni/course. Stuck between going for the course i really want in a place i dislike or going to the area i want & compromising on course....

It's always hard to tell if you'll enjoy it if you haven't met the teacher. The teacher changes everything. You can end up with a rare gem or a weirdo who speaks with an accent you can't comprehend. Some of my best classes in college ended up being classes I thought I didn't want.

The most important thing is to know what you want to do. You have to know what you love. Otherwise, there is no point in going to university. It'll all just be a waste of time. Luckily that only took me about 1 or 2 years out of high school. Some people never figure out what they love or want to do, so they wallow at their 9-5 dead-end jobs for their entire lives.

lol, well, if you turn whatever you love into your job, it's not work now is it? I love using math to make money on the stock market. Stock analysis is my job. But it's not work since I love doing it, even when I'm at home. I bet you'll never meet a millionaire who didn't love their job, whatever it may be...CEO, entrepreneur, investor, etc.

To be honest, I think I was too immature at 18 or 19 to really take school seriously. I am incredibly smart, but in a very unconventional sense, and so sitting in a classroom reading textbooks in a non-engaged way, I am bound to fail. But discovering one's future, what one really wants in life, is the number 1 best thing anyone can discover about one's self. Now that I have had that epiphany, I have the motivation to go to school, and get a degree. No point in going to school unless there is an ultimate goal in which your degree is a step in reaching that goal.

Yea, we're late, but we're still way ahead of anyone who goes through life aimlessly chasing a paycheck and barely meeting their needs.
