the lfo (modulators) on malstroem can be selected as one shot, then it starts at zero each time (midinote must be held down). this one has output which can be routed to anything else. give me a pm and i can show u over msn if u like. ur right on all the other instruments, the lfo unsynced is a "problem" as it "runs all the time", i know what u mean. also the synced option is too fast at slowest setting. should have been more like 16 bars instead of 8 bars.

yeah ive checked out the 1 shot on the malstroem, but I want the phaser effect. maybe theres a way to route it through that or the lfo on the thor, as it has key sync which sounds just what i need. Thanks for the offer though for helping over msn, its cool i do that if need be.

I'm about to test out some of the tips the guys gavce me earlier and see if I can get it to work. With you sayin the synced not long enough also, i feel its going to not help with what i wanna do...oh well we'll see.....

You can always just sample the parts you like and then play them through a sampler.

just use the modulator output from malstroem to phasor input. its simple man.

I ended up sampling, which isnt ideal but the effect im creating is just some white noise, but the phaser on unsync runs half the cycle for about 16 bars which is what i want. so its rising up for 16 bars.

I'm still gonna try other ways expect sample, but thats the effect I want.

you should be able to do it now man, remember the one shot button on malstroem and a midi note hold as long as u want it to modulate. (on malstroem - u dont need the audio on it)

thats fine but I'm probabaly gonna have to sample cos the unsynced cycle runs for longer. even on one shot it runs much more quickly.

Effectively I want the rise of the cycle to run for 16 bars - which is half the waveform. Which ive sampled but wasn't keen on doing it that way

you have obviously dont read my previous posts. turn OFF the sync button and do what i told you, u can adjust the time as u want and after 16 bars u just release the midi not on malstroem and start it again. this only goes with the lfo on malstroem, none of the others have the one-shot function, maybe it can be done with thors LFO2 too, but im very unsure about that. now read my posts carefully and try again.
