Gold Pack With CoQ10

I take these: http://www.purityproducts.com/produ...u=1182&dept_id=

Gold Pack With CoQ10

Multivitamin • Omega-3 • Coenzyme Q10 • Phytonutrient • Probiotic

Advanced Multivitamin with Powerful Greens Blend

Our elite Perfect Multi Super Greens® is unique because it provides 60 cutting edge nutrients to support healthy aging, immunity, cardiovascular health, brain health and healthy circulation.* One reason The Gold Pack™ is so advanced is its provision of extra high levels of powerful phytonutrients from fruits, berries and vegetables.* Each packet has the antioxidant power of 9 servings of fruits and vegetables or 5,000 ORAC units (an antioxidant measurement), much MORE antioxidant power than many leading brands.*

Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil for Exceptional Purity and Quality

The two key active ingredients in Fish Oil, DHA and EPA, are widely recognized for their positive influence on many organs and tissues. Fish Oil comprehensively supports healthy heart and cardiovascular function, circulation, the structure and function of cellular membranes, healthy brain development and even healthy skin.*
Purity’s fish oils are concentrated and molecularly distilled, a process that removes contaminants (like mercury) and locks in the purity. Our Ultra-Pure Omega-3 Fish Oil from Norway is lemon flavored, non-repeating and guaranteed mercury free.*

Heart & Energy Support with CoQ10

Few nutrients for the heart have been as well researched as Coenzyme Q10. CoQ10 is a potent nutrient that mediates a variety of biological effects. In the body, it functions to convert (in the mitochondria) components from our nutritional intake into ATP, energy the body can use. CoQ10 also supports the body’s defenses against free radicals in its role as a powerful antioxidant. Studies have shown that CoQ10 supplementation supports cardiovascular health and normal energy production.
Because of its role in energy production and its function as a powerful antioxidant, CoQ10 has also been studied for supporting healthy aging.* While CoQ10 is produced and stored in all human cells, research shows that as we age, the production of CoQ10 can decline and therefore, supplementation is of the utmost importance.

The Probiotic Revolution

A probiotic is a micro-organism that contributes to the health and balance of the intestinal tract. Probiotics are "friendly" or "beneficial" bacteria which when ingested help us maintain the health and function of gastrointestinal tract. Studies now show that an optimal "balance" in the microbial population is associated with good health in humans. The composition of our intestinal microflora is constantly changing, being influenced by factors such as diet, emotional stress, age and treatment with antibiotics or other medications. A logical approach to restoring the balance of intestinal flora is the use of probiotics.Purity’s proprietary “BioAbsorption Complex” featuring Bioperine®, and Lactospore® aid in both enhanced nutrient absorption and bioavailability while also providing you with the probiotics you need maintain the health of your GI tract.

What Makes The Gold Pack So Unique:

Comprehensive array of essential vitamins and minerals*
5,000+ ORAC (antioxidant equivalent of 9 servings of fruits and vegetables)*
Proprietary “BioAbsorption Complex™” featuring Bioperine® and Lactospore® Probiotics for enhanced nutrient absorption and bioavailability*
Concentrated pharmaceutical-grade Omega-3 fish oils*
50 mg CoQ10 to support cardio health, skin and energy levels*
Reinforced with 800 mcg Folic Acid, 2000 iu Vitamin D3 and 500 mg Vitamin C*
10 mg FloriGlo® Lutein proven to support vision and skin health*
SelenoExcell® 100% organically complexed selenium*

Multivitamins can be useful if you don't eat right (which applies to a lot of people). Nothing fancy required for that, just whatever they sell at the drug store; the GNC versions are basically the same thing at 3x the price.

Supplements and protein and the like are basically a crock unless you're extremely active and also have an extremely poor diet - two things that definitely don't go hand in hand.

Don't think you can go to the gym and start taking creatine and glutamine and protein powder and suddenly see massive or even significantly improved gains. Most of the results you get, from either weight training or sports, are based on your genetic body type, your diet, and your level of commitment. And when it comes to diet, there's no substitute for real food, no matter what the nutritionists tell you (try asking an actual doctor).

I fell for a lot of that crap too several years ago, so I don't blame the other people who do. But if you try to research any of it, you'll find that there's no science whatsoever behind any of those supplements. All of the "information" seems to come from the manufacturers and retailers and personal trainers, and the only evidence seems to be in testimonial form. You know it's a bad sign when you can go to any fitness forum and find 17 different self-titled gurus in every thread insisting on completely different "menus" and schedules. Anecdotal evidence (also known as bullshit) is no basis for spending hundreds or thousands of dollars.

What I'm particularly concerned about here is that if you're in pain after a lot of physical stress, it's probably a sign that you're working too hard (for your current condition) and need rest. If you start taking glutamine, convince yourself that it's all better, and carry on business-as-usual, you could end up seriously hurting yourself. Or, you'll take the glutamine, stop playing for a few days, feel better, and assume it was all thanks to the supplement as opposed to the rest. Either way, you're effectively screwing yourself.

I take the occasional multivitamin if I haven't been eating well. I also take an omega 3,6,9 combo because I, and most people in western culture, don't get enough in our diets. I actually seem to 'notice' benefits from taking omegas, can't really say that about any other supplement I've taken. Other than that, generic whey protein when I'm working out. Oh, and don't forget the HGH and JAGAR BOMBS!

There's a lot of bs floating around the supplement industry that isn't backed up by science. Do your research instead of just listening to the guys at GNC that want to sell you (overpriced) supplements.

Yeah I meant to add that in my original reply - you get the same result from a B50 pill. It can mean that you're not drinking enough water (most people don't, especially if they're not very active), but mostly it just means that you're taking in a lot more of that stuff than your body really needs. That's how it generally is with vitamins - you don't need 'em, you piss 'em out.

Generally, most people will have a hard time hitting that 1g/lb mark anyways if they are eating only real food with no supplements. Personally I am at 210g/day and I have a hard time hitting that with one scope of protein powder a day. Theres only so much tuna, cottage cheese and chicken breast I can eat
