either way music is a huge industry, obviously there is a future in it somewhere but maybe you aren't looking at the right jobs. if something really interests you then you will find a way to make it happen. i have always loved sports and after some research found a way to turn that love into a career. one of my best friends loves watching tv/movies and she figured out a way to make her career happen there as well. sit down and figure it out because music is huge you just need to find your niche.

get a music internship during the school year or try an entry level music job. don't look for THE perfect internship, take whatever you can to learn more about the industry . once you've done something you'll figure out what you do and do not like.

i'm 27 and although i don't have my dream job i'm very close

My dream job involves waking up and living a day in bliss not thinking of life as work, hardship or struggle. I will always do the things I love at one time or another and not think of them as work. It's everything else in life you have to deal with that is the work I wish I didn't have to do.

I truly believe that if you do what you love it will A) never feel like work and B) "success" WILL follow.

Also, nothing worth doing should ever come easily/without a challenge.
