Isn't that sighing?

Reading the word yawn has 40% effect of seeing someone yawn. I remember i read about it while searching for an article about booz for my research methods class.

i was always told that yawning is something your body does to stay awake. it gets the blood pumping faster through your body (as whoever posted the fun facts mentioned the increase in heart rate).

That seems to be the medical explanation for it , but many animals yawn , so it goes deep into evolution , and fish seem to yawn sometimes .
But we'll find out , the LHC will tell us!

ok granted, let's say we yawn because it revs our body

but realistically how can it be contageous in a scenario like two people looking the opposite way

I can understand reading the word yawn can stimulate one but have we researched if we secrete an undetected stomach gas or sound? I noticed that when you pull a hardcore yawn, halfway through you have this really hot air that comes out for about half a sec. I doubt that has anything to do with contagion but to reiterate, can it be a high/low-frequency sound triggering the 'contagious yawn'?
