when I lived in Cyprus, in summer the island would get packed with the above mentioned types, not to mention that we would get kids from the British military basis on the other side of the island going completely loco at bars and clubs... it also didn't help that Cyprus doesn't have a legal drinking age *sigh*

God that brings back memories
I worked in Ayia Napa back in 1991 and we used to get the young squaddies hitting the town from Dhekelia every weekend total mayhem, worst than the tourists anyday

haha good ol' Ayia Napa my first time was in '03, it was super British back then
but I think now it's becoming more Greek, and kinda less tourist-y, which isn't much fun anymore

I would have to explain that I was canadian where ever I went or else people literally would be disgusted in me thinking I was british.

had the same experience in Laganas this summer.
terrible terrible. After having seen the West End in San Antonio, Ibiza, I didn't think it could get any worse....but Laganas WAS much worse!!

cheesy/tacky clubs, terrible restos and 17-/18 yr old kids puking on each other. What a disaster.
