after i heard he cancelled in sf, i asked the promoter that runs the main fresh page if they have heard anything about Astrix not making it into the country. I could tell he read it a few days in advance, and he never replied.

they never made any statements either, i dont think most of the kids at that party new the difference anyway.

Seeing everybody united on the dancefloor and having fun last night was an amazing experience and we hope everybody enjoyed themselves to the fullest. We would also like to express our deepest apologies for the confusion over Astrix being unable to perform. We only received the information about Astrix being hospitalized just prior to the event and our web administrators did not receive the information in time to make a public announcement about him being replaced at the last minute. This deeply saddened us as well as Astrix himself who was very excited about coming to perform for all of you. Unfortunately his doctors have grounded him from all flights due to an infection in his spine that has kept him in tremendous pain for some time now. We wish him a speedy recovery so that he may come back again at a later date to play a future Fresh event. In his absence, his good friend and labelmate, X-Noize(www.myspace.com/xnoizemusic) , came out to deliver a powerful psytrance set that rocked the dance floors of Fresh Squeezed almost equal to that of his injured comrad and even dropped one of Astrix's songs in honor of him not being able to make it.

hehe but seriously, i kno how u would feel.. i was thinkin of going kinda like last minute thing, and if i would've gone the only reason was to see astrix (and then 4strings 2nd).. i would've probably pissed the same way everyone did. I'm just hoping Fresh can do a better coordination next time.

I believe their reasoning, I DON'T believe that they only received it just prior to the event.

We've known up in SF for awhile now...you telling me that his people didn't bother contacting them until in just the last few days?

Gimme a break. I strongly feel they knew just as soon as SF did...and chose not to say anything in fear it would effect ticket sales.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see how they didn't know when SF has known for so long.

Just piseed becuase though i didnt go I was so close to changing my flight to Denver and going to LA from the bay area for Astrix and then head to denver the following day. Only reason I couldnt go was a family matter but it is pretty aggrevating when this shit happens. Well least promoters have learned people want Astrix and lets hope he gets booked more often!
