I have encountered another problem which I forgot about when making the original post.
Links that should open in another window, don't. I click a link (such as the profile button under your name) and nothing happens. To actually view your profile, I have to right click and choose "Open Link in New Tab."

We have problems with it on this computer which is Windows XP and another computer which is Windows Vista.
If you (and others) aren't having problems, it's likely we just need to download the software again. I'll give that a try when I have time.

omg, that's it, that's it! That's exactly what I'm doing wrong! All of my problems with Firefox 3.0.1 are in fact my fault because I'm clicking my mouse with my colon!

See! It's always operator error. The simplest solution is usually the right one. Stop using your colon and use the mouse properly by talking to it. You must compliment and soothe the computer, tell it how nice it looks...how impressed you are with it's ability to store all of your pirated music files.
