SOOOOOOO expensive, but trying to find ways to get the funds together for one of these babys. Costs about the same as 1 DJM800 and 2 CDJ1000s!!!!!

You tube vid here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsE8...feature=related

Sorry if it's a repost............

The problem is there isn't much (if any) room for expansion... it'd be a pain in the arse trying to attach an EFX/laptop/3rd CD stand to that.

And also it's only the perfect size for a DJM800... a lot of mixers might be the same width, but they're different depths so if you changed mixer it'd be worthless to you. And if you decided you wanted to switch to a 19" mixer, again you'd have to can the table.

I'm not sure if I'd even want my CDJs sunk into the surface - I kinda take some comfort in using a few steadying fingers on the right hand side while I'm adjusting the pitch.

I'll take a 19" rack with a couple of square feet of table surface either side any day.

I would buy this if I cared more about how my gear looked than actually using it.

Thankfully, I don't.

If you actually bought that, it won't look good in your place most likely, unless you have a million dollar pad that's decorated the same way.

Speaking of furniture, anyone know a place that sells a cheaply priced vinyl shelf or wall unit type of thing? I need a nice shelf to clean up the records laying around my "music room" floor. I checked Ikea and nothing comes up for record/vinyl shelves

Ikea's Expedit series fit vinyl great and are really cheap. Also they come in various sizes so you can get a big enough system whether you have a big or small collection.

Wall attaching is completely optional. Of course they suggest it, but if yuo don't have kids around pulling on the top towards the middle of the room, it won't fall down or anything. My dj-stand is a 2x4 expedit with a top half of a lack tv stand on top and with equipment and records on it, it is solid even if it is free standing. Just tighten the screwy-thingies and if you don't see yourself moving anytime soon, use glue in the seams so it'll be even better.

I have this unit, a white one 4 x 4 in white. I have it free standing. It doesn't need to be attached to the wall.
