The same thing can be said about the desktop version - they both take up room, ya know. Some people don't have the extra rack space and are just going to sit their TI on a desktop anyway, where - guess what - it's going to take up space. The real questions are, how do you intend to use it and do you have an existing keyboard controller? For me, the Polar is perfect because it sits right there in front of me and functions, not only as a fantastic synth, but also as a MIDI controller (with very nice keyboard action, I might add - can't say that about the desktop). The point is: what works for you is not necessarily what works for everybody else.
