Were you not relating the feeling or illusion of safety to the size of the aircraft? And do major carriers not have larger aircrafts?
Are your friends flying Air Force One? Because that aside, "shit" is going to rattle during takeoff, landing and turbulence.

my question has already been answered by others. next time know what the full question is before pouncing on someone and the people he/she associates with
after flying in a 6 or 8 seat Cesna, piloted by a guy prob 10 yrs younger than me, I'm sure I could handle anything Porter puts on the runway, lol.
Jay, how much was the ticket? more or less than Lan's deals after Oct?

Lan's deal is pretty much the best thing out there. I make the trip just about every 2 weeks and you can't even get that rate out of Buffalo.
I booked 3 flights with them for basically the same cost a 1 round trip with AC.
Porter is between $59-99/flight plus taxes and fuel charges. So it is usually around the $300 mark when all said and done.

Sweet.
I'm hoping to make a weekend trip to NYC sometime in Nov-Dec.
Speaking of Porter, we'll be seeing him (Steve, that is) at Ruby Skye on Sept. 20th in San Fran
(ok that was lame, lol...but I'm excited to go).

Flight was great. I didn't notice anymore or less turbulance compared to bigger or smaller planes I've been on.
I paid $320 return and I do know about the LAN deal. If it was only one or two people I would probably still use Porter because of where I live (save $50 taxi to Pearson each way), how easy it was checking in and out at the island and at Newark. If I was going with more people (or lived where Shelly does) I would probably use LAN because then the actual amount of money saved would offset the benefits of using Porter and would help towards the hotel in NYC.
