i got a black macbook 2gb of ram and this badboy runs Serato like a charm!
It doesn't handle the high end programs I use such as Final Cut pro and Adobe After Effects too well but I'm not too fond of doing that sort of thing on a portable computer anyway.

macbook pro.... if your serious about dj'ing. you will spend the money.. i use it with ableton.. i have a novation remote zero sl controller and a m audio audiophile firewire sound card with it . and im really really happy. i previously used a macbook and i cant see much difference but the lighted keyboard and bigger screen comes in handy. as does the firewire 800 port! cheers man!
