that looks like a good deal!!

if there wasn't a WOOT OFF! going on at this moment I would probably purchase that sound system.

these setups with the tiny satelites are pure crap. the small cabinet sizes mean you get basically zero bass from the satelites, while the sub (mono) takes frequencies up to 600hz or higher. thus, you get basically no directionality in lower frequencies.

subs are only meant to go up to like 150hz, before crossing over.

i'd take a good 2.1 setup over this any day.

if it's for the computer, go 2.1.

If it's for home theater & tv, go 3.1. Also, subs really shouldn't be covering anything above 80-120hz.

+1 Klipsch's system blows Creative & Logitech's offerings out of the water.

I've had mine now for 3 years, and they sound fantastic still, however, I did upgrade the speaker wire to a heavier gauge, and replaced the front Left & Right Satellites with these:

Klipsch RSX-5

Here's a side by side comparison of the RSX-5 vs. ProMedia Ultra Satellite:

Horrible movie selection right? I also spy a movie named "Merlin", along with the Charlie's Angels flicks. I'm not sure who the owner of this particular photo is (I didn't take a side by side shot when I bought mine), however I saved this for referencing before I made the jump to the RSX-5's.

My X-540 setup rocks my room completely, no housemates were in over the weekend, so I decided to turn it full blast and put an Eskimo track on.

My windows were rattling, it was awesome!

Might be because I have my sub in the perfect location though.

The X-540 is probably the best bang for buck 5.1 system out there.

This is the biggest problem imo. However, for the bang you get for you buck there are some very good 5.1 systems for PCs.
