i love hardstyl, and hardcore, exactly like i love trance music

but i listened this two kind of music in a two different ways:

in a trance track i search the melody, the emotions. it should be perfect

in an hardstyle track, the only important thing is the power, and in a hardstyle/hardcore party i love massive destroying set, they're amazing!

I love good hardstyle, but there's a lot of cheesy shit in the genre which is kind of hard to get away from.

the funniest thing about hardstyle is that it's not even hard. as the threadstarter already mentioned. it lacks the punch in the bassline to make it sound hard. funny why they call it hardstyle. maybe it should be called clownstyle because of all funny cheesy vocal samples.

Fixed. Some hardcore is very innovative and forward thinking IMHO.

I can understand how it seems like hardstyle should be super powerful, but the tracks are usually lacking. a party could be organized so that the overall volume was increased for a hardstyle set in order for it to seem massive, but in the context of a tag I think that it would usually sound somewhat meager.

Not to say that every hardstyle producer is using the same sort of thick and resonant kick/bass combo that kinda kills the tracks. A lot of hardcore producers have used this technique as well, but not so continuously.

also I want to make clear that the original post refers to distinct genres, hardstyle and hard techno (obviously the latter is much more broad)
