Interested to see what you've done here as I'm not the biggest fan of Psychedelic around (generally too fast for me). Downloading now.

Oh man, psy has a vast range, well over 30bpm from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Most dancey (not ambient) prog-psy is 125-135, and it rocks!

125? That sounds a bit low...
My understanding of psy's bpm is:
progpsy/minimal 135-140
full on 145 allmost exclusively although some stuff from 140-147 too
Darkpsy mostly 145-155 although some stuff from 140-170

IDK though, I'm sure some people here know a lot more then me.

I may have embellished slightly, but I've plenty of prog-psy with a native bpm of 127-130, it's like the house music of the psy world.

Morning psy tends to fill the 138-145 range, and full-on/dark psy taking up the upper echelons.

I don't listen to much progpsy, but I guess that wouldn't suprise me, some of the stuff is more downbeat... although not quite at the 120bpm range

I've never heard of any full on 150+ Obv morning is similar to full on although a fair bit more flexible (from quite a bit not at 145, instead of hardly any).

anyone else wanna clarify?

Well I'm still a psy noob, only been listening to it for 3 years, just going on what I've noticed, I might even be getting genre names wrong, hehe

Well I'm 2 years, so I'm more of a noob I assure you. Someone else wanna clarify?

and on the set, didn't really impress me that much, and I kind've had a headache which was made a fucking ton worse but that incredibly stupid mario song, plz god no. Really enjoyed your bad acid mix again though.

Oh yeah, I listened to this on the way in to work.

Not really my cuppa, I'm swiftly going off the faster full-on stuff.

The Mario song did make me chuckle though, and on the whole, the mixing was pretty tight

Progpsy - 130-140
Morning/Full On - 140-146
Full On/Dark - 145+

That's about how I see it for the genres. There is a bit of overlap with the Full On, but Full-on has a fairly wide cross-section of styles/sounds. Hence defining it as above.

As for the set.. LOL thanks for the replies, good and bad. Your bound to get a "cheesy" tune like the Super Bros track when drunk and stoned.. The set wasn't released to impress, just a fun Saturday session I happened to record.

Always appreciate the feedback tho.
