I forgot to mention that these clever demands and maps seem to ignore the obvious fact that if Britain or Canada (or both) tried to invade the USA they'd get pulverized in a matter of days, perhaps hours.

it may be annoying to cast americans in english roles (angelina jolie in lara croft, renee zellwegger in bridget jones) but andie macdowell was playing an american character in 4W&AF... they even refer to her on a number of occasions as "the american".
