as an exworker for a callcenter i can say that even when some of the time thats true, usually we CANT get out of the script, the companies usually demand that the agents follow the script thoroughly... is not fun at all.

I currently work in a call center (of 3 people w00t! I hate my job), and I have worked in others that are much much larger. The companies that require the script to be followed to a T have the worst customer service ratings.
