It's friday at work and I'm bored so... HERE WE GO!
(just pushed play) What the fuck is this? Scenes from an Italian restaurant? Ahh there we go, proper beat with some filth spread through it. LOVE TRACK 2! From the Windowlicker video, fuck yah! Pure awesome so far. Didn't like how the opening was more tech, and this just went into a sort of electro sound. I think I just got ADHD.
...And now it's some clubby house sound. This pink shit is all over the place in selection... This Erotic Discourse Remix is probably one of the better I've heard. And at least we've stayed with the electro-ish program, finally some continuity.
...And back to epic vocal house? LOL, I can't keep. I'm just gonna resign myself to the fact that this set's track selection will be all-over the place with genre and ignore it from now on.
A few decent tracks over the middle. Really like the big house feel of #9. Trentemoller before that brought back some memories, didn't really think it fit though. Mix from 10 to 11 was a bit annoying and out of shape. Maybe it's just me, but seems like the two tracks clashed. ... Either La Conga or Naco - I really really liked, the rest didn't fit...
Conclusion: Some great clubby house/electro tracks in there. The mixing was solid apart from the 10 to 11 transition, and it wasn't so much the transition as I just felt that the two don't belong together.
My biggest complaint is the flow of it all. There was just none of it to be found for me. You opened with a fantastic track but then went all over the place. Not that I know what I'm talking about, maybe it's the cool thing to do. But the genre clashes were just too extreme in my opinion. Ups and downs, highs and lows, there was hardly any time to settle into a certain groove before a new soung hit me upside the head.
It is, what it is. Props for sharing and some tracks are definitely golden for a big room dancefloor.
