he did last time at 1015, or at least teased the classic riff a bit. and as much as some of us want to mock it... it was great hearing it from him. ruby skye crowd should have even more fun with it.
Darude usually plays Sandstorm, often as a part of some type of mash-up or something. I think he might even do the mash-up live using a CDDJ and Ableton. I forget.
When he brings it into his set, it's usually well-timed and you don't get a "cheesy" distraction from it when he does the mash-up type things with it.

I really enjoy seeing darude. He remixes his remixes, he adds effects and messes with seratto, he mixes well, and most of all he enjoys doing it all. He is a great guy as well. Is it his fault he had two tracks that were so damn good they were picked up by everyone? Isnt that in a way a dream come true for every producer? To have just one song even make it around the world and have it last for years? Its a shame massively succesffull tracks bring down great producers. People think all that producer has then is that one or two tracks, when in reality, the producer never stopped.

I don't think Daruade really DJed (or at least didn't tour) back then, so he wasn't going around touring as a DJ while supporting Sandstorm. I could be wrong, but if he toured then and was a great DJ, people would have then looked past the popularity of Sandstorm and the "cheesy" factor is suddenly got because of it...after they prob listened to it a thousand times themselves. He would have just been seen as a great DJ.

that is true he didnt dj then, but i dont think it would change anything. I mean if a dj sells his song to sport games and what not, automatically people who aren't hardcore fans of the producer relate the single to the producer and usually it dies there. I mean there are so many like Darude who fell into that problem by having an amazing track at the time be a huge success and get mass playtime and people get sick of the producer without even seeing them live.

The last time Darude came out to 1015 he was using Traktor. If I remember right he was also using some other stuff along with it though, along side the CDJ's.
Either way, whatever he uses its gonna be great. I hope this time we get to see more keyboard time and him usin it.

yea wasnt sure what it was, ableton, trakktor, seratto, etc. was a while ago when i last saw him, but he was spot on. Also did have the midi there and he actually did mess with that as well. The guy really likes to mess around with effects - some hate that, but i like that the dj enjoys being there doing his thing and having fun with himself as well as opposed to simply having a standard set.
Jealous of you all in SF once again. Have fun at this event.
