How harmful exactly is it? Remember, this most definitely won't be an everyday thing. Maybe once or twice a month; should I be worried?

you are talking to someone who smokes a pack of cigs a day and at the very least a gram of pot per day.

i would ask yourself why you would start other than why would you worry.

Well, I think it's a really interesting, laid back, social activity. Sometimes my friends and I just want to relax, call some girls and just do something chill and this seems like the perfect thing. However, if it's really as or almost as bad for your health and addicting as cigarettes I am willing to reconsider, I play soccer I can't be huffing and puffing too much.

see the problem with hookah studies are the mass inconstancies A) tobacco's B) Different coal usage, amount per one session and in concentration. See tar is created through direct burning. If hookah is done properly the coal should in directly burn the tobacco preventing tar. Also using Starbuzz or higher quality tobacco, normally has 0.0 tar. This does not mean tar free though. example 0.0001 percent tar, you get the point.

So it is hard to decide if hookah is worse for you then cigarettes, but don't be under the illusion that it in any form healthy or that the water somehow filter's out pollutants. It is still smoke which is still damaging to the lungs after long term use.

Personally I smoke hookah everyday, but also do boxing to even out the effects lol.

So take it for what you will, but I would not really take the studies seriously as again there are a lot of factors involved in the process.

I'd be more concerned about getting Aids from a Hookah.

well if some guy on yahoo answers says its not bad then why listen to scientists.

I find it funny how one form of smoking is socially acceptable but another isn't.

I hope this isn't a "subtle" attack to me, 'cuz I never condemned anyone for smoking.

Which form of smoking is not socially acceptable?

Where I grew up all forms were accepted...

i'm a total hypocrite because i abhor smoking BUT i do enjoy the rare visit to a hookah bar. i like the social aspect of it and its a fun little outing. its more acceptable for a bunch of girls to go chill at some hookah bar than say a cigar shop...i love the smell of those too . the occasional visit isn't going to kill you...

To his defense, Trump didn't even really look like a bum.
