good sugestions..
the reason i'm asking is that recently i met someone at work and she is strictly into hiphop and other garbage (i like hiphop but what she listens to is garbage imo). She's good but because edm is what i like i can't get her to come out to some of the places i go to. When i told her guv is open till 7am it blew her mind away. OMG SO YOU ARE ON DRUGS THEFRE?? lol..
It's crazy how music and that lifestyle is such a huge factor in being with someone (or maybe i'm making it seem that way?)..

haha,

good topic. I actually find it harder to date someone who IS in the same scene with me. I'd rather stay single and just fuck around until i'm completely sick and tired of parties

House is not just a groove. House is a feeling. And when u feel it, you will understand... house music gets you up and makes you high...

It shouldn't be a factor, unless you can't balance your interests with the time you spend with her.

+1

My gf has no interest at all.

I've taken her to a few events. I even took her to Sensation White in Prague (AvB, SvD, G&D, Guetta) and she didn't really get too into it. She does however really like Guetta lol She said that he really got into his set and looked like he was having fun.

But it works out fine. She has no problem with me going out 2-3 times a month and like Chem said, we have our nights out without each other.

Now 90% of time were in the car i'm forced to listen to her, and every once in a while I'll take her to one of her Top 40 concerts. But I don't mind.

I actually prefer not to have someone with similar interest. When I go out I don't want to have to worry about another individual.
I don't want to have to take care of her if she's not feeling or well, or if she wants to leave early. I can arrive when I want & Leave when I want and don't to worry about some of the shit that people go through with their gfs at the club lol

What if it was an all access night and you wanted to listen to House, but she wants you to listen to trance ( )...that could ruin your night! Plus it gets expensive if you pay for everything lol

2 tickets, drinks, parking, coat check, hot dogs, freezies, etc.

I can't do it, because music and it's scene(s) plays a huge role in my life.

if music is a deal breaker you will probably be single for a long time in your life. Very shallow. A persons taste in music says nothing about what kind of a partner they might be, or how successful your life could be with them.

Having things in common is great, but remember that partying and clubbing will not be a part of your life forever no matter how much you might think it will. Do you really want to be that old guy in the club?

My girlfriend hates edm, and i don't care. When i see what a great person she is, i do not feel the need to waste my time pushing my tastes on her. It is pretty shallow and insecure imo.

i bet people who say they can't do it are under 25 and single.

I can see why people don't dig it - I mean, EDM is, in the grand scope of things, a pretty niche taste.

I went from having a BF who was in to the exact same thing, to someone who wasn't in to it at all. Both have their pros and cons. Having someone with other interests certainly helps when you decide to start spending time doing things other than clubbing, that's for sure.

lol Jeff you're so silly!
a. why can't the girl take care of herself?
b. she wants to leave early - she can cab it home! I do! what's wrong with leaving/arriving separately?
c. house vs. trance lol! so you go and listen to your own music then.. at LoL I was planning to be at the main room for house, but then Armin took over and it was trance all night.. but that was just because I was having so much fun, not because I couldn't venture on my own to listen to house!
d. expensive? how about splitting up costs? do you seriously feel obliged to pay for everything?

skipper, nail, head.

sometimes other people can help broaden your tastes and help you to enjoy many things you never thought possible before. Variety is the spice of life.

if you invite someone to do something they do not want to it is common courtesy to not make them pay to do it.

are you single?
