There are more whistles & bells FX wise on the DJM700 & 800 than the Xone62. Only way you will know for sure is to get your hands on them all at your local DJ equipment emporium

Ya man i am having the same probelm with my mixer. iT is so obvious when im introducing a new track. the bass alsways seems louder when i introduce a new track, no matter how much i turn the low down. And if the A&H does deliver smoother transitions, then that is something to def keep in mind. As far as your friend, i wouldnt remind him either . But yes the djm-800 does look like a fanstastic mixer as well. It seems like a 50-50 opinion between dj's on TA and others. The thing is though, even though the A&H might lack some effects which is pretty important to me, I can always pick up a EFX-500 which is only like $300 dollars if i find a good deal on ebay , craiglist ect. So that and a xone 62 is still gonna be less than a djm-800, so that is something to keep in mind as well. IDK it seems like 50-50 between alot of people so i will just try to find a store that sells both. So idk if you or anyone else would know, but what is the main diff between a xone 62 and 42?

Asking a proud 800 owner, what about the xone did you not like? was it just the layout of the xone compared to the 800? i know that the pioneer 800 delivers more effects which is also a plus in my opinion, but what main differences did you notice? and what did you not like?

Honestly its whichever mixer makes you feel more comfortable. They are the standards albeit the Pioneer is a little more universal. Sans why so many people like the A&H. Not everywhere has it and uses it and it makes people feel different then everyone else.

Theyre both superb. Albeit ive used nothing but Pioneer since I started DJing so I am partial to them.

Maybe because I haven't had a lot of experience with them, but I was not a fan of the 4 band EQ. I didn't really see a point to it, but like mentioned i only used A&H mixers 5 times at most. I just didn't really feel comfortable on it as I do on the 800.
Another thing that pissed me off was that when I hooked up RCA from the mixer to my amp I couldn't really make the speakers bang out as loud as I wanted them. Seems like the only way to get real loud sound was to hookup to PA speakers. Unless I missed something, but I don't think I did?

I strongly recommend (if possible) going to a music store and trying to rent them out to see for yourself. If that is not possible maybe chill with some friends who might have the mixers.

RCA out is used for recording on Xones.

You'll need to use the XLRs or 1/4" for main sound output. (or get RCA adapters)

For bedroom DJs, really doesn't matter whether you get pios or xone, but in clubs, I find xones do sound better. 4 band eq thing you just need to get used to them.

What i love about the DJM-800 is the design.. it's so basic and simple but still its a very advanced mixer with great sound and feeling.
Unfortnately i cant say the same about xone92.. about design. It looks much more difficult to use and not so easy to understand as djm800.

Also the cue/pre-listening system is different.. but i thank its a matter of getting just to it.

If you ask me xone92/62 is more like an studio mixer with its aux solutions. If you gonnna hook up an efx you'l have to go from the efx to your speakers.. Routing the efx through Xone is difficult!
I would get the 42 that has send/return and the awesome filter and sound aswell.

Some time after i got the djm800 i really wondered if i should choose the xone instead but now im more happy than ever. Mainly because i dont need such an expensive mixer at home, and i have booth efx and filter on the 800. And almost in every place i work they have djm800.

I love the warm and analogue sound + filter on xone mixers.. but il say it again, djm800 = you get more for the price

even if it does (which it might?) I'm not some crazy sound specialist, but either way I'm sure it's not heavily beater. Either way I connect my cdj's digital and for me that does everything plus some to what I want it to do. I'm totally not saying the Xone's are bad, but they just don't fit my style of djing. As stated above the djm8 is really straight forward yet brings a lot to the table, the xone's are not so straight forward if you ask me and don't bring effects, but some wicked filters.

I believe it's all about personal preference
