Pretty much. 00.db - Ark and Vibrasphere - Autumn Lights were the best two trance tracks this year, criminal to have any sort of list like this without mentioning them.

What a shocking year for trance. It really has been utter shite. I struggled to pick 5 tracks.

I think the only couple of tracks I have really enjoyed this year were

Majai - Phoria (JVD remix)
Ferrin And Low - Breeze (Original Mix)

Awful album from Armin, dissapointed with Ferrys new one, And the pointless remixes of classics. 2008 remix of
Marcos - Cosmic String?? Really is there any need....

Shite.

I am seeing PVD next week at Gods and I purposely havent downloaded any of his sets in the past few months. So I'm looking forward to see what hes playing at the moment. Hopefully he restores some of my faith!

On the whole trance is the only genre I have ever listened to. For me I thought the best period was around 2003-04. Obviously 98 was also great to.

This year has been by far the worse. Even for EDM. There have been no so called big tunes over the summer period. Ibiza had Pjanoo played over and over and over again.

Top artists producing awful music to target commercial buyers. Tiesto and Armin being 2 of the biggest culprits.

Horrible remakes, Just leave the classics alone, there really is no point in remixing them, even some of the better ones have still been poor imo. This signals to me lack of creativity, laziness and people ripping other artists off.

The lack of quality. consistently bad tracks released every week by crap producers. Beatport and the like have had a major part in this.

I know its a well known fact that trance has been falling for the last 10 years, but I think this year has been one of the worst years due to all of the above.

that's a load of shit. I can name a top 10 of the year that doesn't include anything played on that show. ASOT does not = all trance & It's about time people realised that.

The quality and types of tracks signed by the big labels this year has been weak at best.

I've heard TONNES of great melodic and uplifting tracks this year but many have been neglected or signed to smaller labels.

Hell man, Anjuna was one of my favourite labels and I think I've bought only 3 of their releases from this year (Not including Deep, they are releasing some wicked stuff). That is rather sad.
